| The Midland College Professional Pilot Program is conducted
in partnership with Mesa
Air Group to prepare students for employment as a First
Officer for Mesa Airlines. The program has specialized admission
requirements due to the Federal Aviation Regulations and the
cost of flight training.
Students will complete a rigorous four-semester program culminating
with an Associates Degree in Applied Science - Professional
Pilot. Each student will obtain the following pilot licenses
and ratings: Private Pilot, Commercial Pilot, Instrument rating
and Multi-engine ratings. An optional course study will permit
students to obtain a Certified Flight Instructor Certificate
if they desire. Upon successful completion of the program,
each student will receive an interview for employment with
Mesa Airlines.
Flights are scheduled at our Midland school. If you go to
class at Midland College during the morning, you will be scheduled
for flights during the afternoons at the flight line, and
vice versa if you are on the afternoon academic schedule.
The Midland College campus is adjacent to Midland Air Park
where flight training is conducted. The 1.6 mile drive around
the perimeter takes a matter of minutes.
